Here's what some fencers and parents have to say about fencing and the PVFA: Dear Coach Sise, Sincerely, It's easy to have fun, and easy to challenge yourself. Its an enjoyable form of exercise that can be done any time of year, with a rather close knit family of hobbyists and athletes that share a good comradery. Fencing is very addicting. . .and you can see clearly when you make improvements and advancements, it's very easy to feel yourself getting better. I'm not in there often, but I always feel like just one of the crowd when I walk in. Paul has a very direct and analytical style that avoids the classical "because I said so" mentality of most coaches. He is always willing to answer questions and explain the benefits of a technique. Inherent in any lesson is the understanding of WHY you are doing something, which I have found incredibly valuable. thanks, ------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi, ------------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Paul,
After having the pleasure of directing (refereeing) several of your fencers on Sunday, I wanted to let you know how much their courtesy and sportsmanship impressed me. Best wishes for continued success,
