Books
A Basic Foil Companion
This is a short companion guide designed for students of intro foil classes. It has excellent reviews and was the publisher's best selling fencing book.
A Basic Fencing Companion
This is a more thorough and in depth three-weapon book than A Basic Foil Companion that includes tactical discussion, psychology, tips for competitors and beautiful pencil drawings as illustrations, in addition to many photos. It is used as a textbook by Vassar for their fencing PE classes.
Height Differences in Epee Fencing and Strategies for the Shorter Fencer (Copyright 2008 Paul J. Sise)
This thesis was submitted to the United States Fencing Coaches Association in 2008 as one of the requirements for the certification of Fencing Master. It looks at the advantages and disadvantages of being taller and of being shorter when fencing epee. Technical and tactical advice is then given to help the shorter fencer overcome some of the advantages innate to their taller opponents. This thesis includes an analysis of the 2005 world championship gold medal bout between Kolobkov and Jeannet.
