Weekly Schedule

Mondays: Historical Fencing Night
 

Beginners welcome, designed for adults ages 18+.   With permission of the instructor, teenagers age 16+ may be allowed to take the class so long as a parent remains present in the club during class.  Students ages 13 to 15 may participate only if they are partnered with a parent in the class.

Historical fencers also have open fencing time on Thursdays from 8 pm till 9m pm.

Tuesdays: Saber
Beginners and competitors ages 10- adult welcome

Hours from 6 pm till 8:30 pm
Please arrive between 6 pm and 6:30

Saber Class with RJ Ferullo - 6:30 to 8 pm. Learn the techniques and tactics of modern competitive saber. Electrical fencing equipment recommended.   Arrive between 6 and 6:30.
Note that the Saber Class can also be purchased in combination with the Saturday Youth Class for 10 year olds.



Wednesdays: Epee class then open fencing and individual lessons for all weapons
Some experience suggested, ages 11- adult welcome
Open from 6 pm till 10 pm
Please arrive between 6 pm and 6:30
Class is from 6:30 to 7:30, followed by open fencing and individual lessons.



Thursdays: Intro/Intermediate group class
PVFA opens at 6 pm.
Intro/Intermediate Class:
Beginners ages 11- 17 encouraged, but adults are also welcome.

Please arrive between 6 pm and 6:30
Class is from 6:30 to 8.


Fridays: Intro/Intermediate group class 

Beginners ages 18+ encouraged, but ages 11+ are also welcome.
Hours from 6 pm till  8pm
Please arrive between 6 pm and 6:30
Class is from 6:30 to 8.



Saturdays: Youth class for ages 7-10 and Open Fencing/Individual Lessons
 Open Hours are from 2 pm till 6:30 pm
Youth Fencing Basics from 2:30 to 3:30.
Open Fencing from 3:30 to 6:30.


Youth Fencing Basics from 2:30 to 3:30 -Have fun learning the basics of swordplay with safety and fun in mind. This class will focus on learning how to move, how to attack and defend, and simple strategy.  Great for the swashbuckler to be! Expect a good balance between education, recreation, and exercise. More experienced children will be given the opportunity to do electric fencing. This class is rolling enrollment so start any week. Class is from 2:15 pm till 3:30 pm. Note that students have 15 weeks to make use of their 12 classes. Students must re-enroll if 15 weeks have passed even if all 12 classes have not been used. Please arrive between 2 and 2:15.  Children must be able to tell left from right, be able to stand on one foot for 10 seconds, and be able to skip in order to enroll in this class. (Is your child nervous or shy? Try one class for $20)
The Saturday Youth Class is either $150 for 3 months for 7 to 9 year olds, or $75 per month for 10 year olds. The 10 year olds also get access to our Tuesday Saber Class.


Open Fencing - From 3:30 till 6:30 for all fencers of all weapons.
